READ THIS FIRST!: These are a list of questions I am frequently asked via e-mail. If your question is not answered here or you find
a corrupt video (it is not necessary to let me know about broken links) please feel free to contact Megan and I'll be more than happy to help (include WHAT file you're having problems downloading or viewing and the browser and operating system you're using!)
Q. How do I download the videos?
A. Right Click and 'Save As'. This will help save bandwidth (Frenzy uses an insane amount!!)
Q. Why can't I download or view [blank] ?
A. There are several reasons for this -
i) You are using Netscape to download a Real Media File. Netscape does not download Real Media Files properly (Do you see a screen full of encryped mumbo-jumbo?). I am working to ZIP all the videos, but please use Internet Explorer to download in the
meantime. :)
ii) You don't have the proper software to view the video or sound clip, or your software is not up-to-date. Real Media files need REAL PLAYER 8 to view.
Be sure to download the the MOST RECENT FREE versions!
*Real Media Files --> Real Media Player
*Windows Media Files --> Windows Media Player
*Unzipping ZIP files --> Win Zip
iii) You are using AOL... turn off AOL and try downloading again.
Q. Can you please put [blank] video on Frenzy?
A. New videos are not being added to Frenzy at this time.
Q. Can I put [blank] video on my site?
A. Feel free to use these video clips for your own website, but please give me proper credit and let me know before you put them on your site! You MUST upload the video clips to your own server -
>REMOTE LINKING IS NOT ALLOWED (very, very BAD!).
And, about this site...
X-Files Frenzy was created January 27, 2001 and contained a single page of video clips. It has grown into a HUGE site with over 1GB (an entire gigabyte!) of video and sound clips! (Wow!)
